Tips for enjoying our pizza at home (see our Frequently Asked Questions...FAQ):
1. Preheat the oven to 450° with a pizza stone inside (bottom shelf). If you don't have one, a cookie sheet will do nicely.  A toaster oven will also work.
2. Once the oven is nice and hot (15-20 minutes is best), put a slice or two on the stone or cookie sheet for a minute or two. Any moisture that has built up on the crust will evaporate and the slice will get nice and crispy.
This is very important for veggie pizzas or combo pizzas like the "Times Square" or "The City."
3. DO NOT MICROWAVE...you will zap the life right out of the pizza, making it soggy, then hard.

We now carry Marino's Italian Ices from Queens in our San Jose shop. Here is the nutrition info for them. Make sure you get the wooden spoon and flip it over to get the good stuff on the bottom!
We now carry Gino's Italian Ices from Brooklyn in our Sunnyvale shop. We look forward to continuing to provide New York memories and authenticity to you here in the Bay Area. Quantities are limited. Sorry we have been out for so long. We are working on it.

The biggest thank you goes to my neighborhood pizza joint in Manhattan, Ultimate Pizza. I grew up
with these guys. Without them, this never would have happened. They opened up their kitchen,
their crew, and their kindness to me so that we could make all this happen. All they wanted in return
is for me to be successful...true selfless NYC attitude.

A special thank you to Tony Gemignani of San Francisco's Tony's Pizza Napoletana,
The International School of Pizza, and Tony's Coal-Fired Pizza and Slice House
.
As an expert in the business and now a friend, we thank you. How about that four minute dough mix!!!

Our loyal customer, Stephen, honored us by adding us to his family's "Journey Marker" rope. It lists all of his family's favorite places, relatives, trips, etc. We were added to his collection last year and we will do our very best to earn that distinction every day! Thank you Stephen....we won't let you down!

In August 2008, two women were victims of a hit-and-run right down the street from us and both women died. In an effort to support our neighbors, we helped raise over $2,000 thanks to the local businesses, neighbors, and customers. Your generosity was wonderful. The Santa Clara Weekly, the San Jose Mercury News, and the San Jose Resident wrote articles on the process. Thank you....A Slice of New York

On April 1, 2009, sales tax increased by 1%. Since all our prices include sales tax, we added a
temporary 50 cent surcharge on all small and large whole pies. When the sales tax increase
was over (July 1, 2011), we removed the surcharge. Proposition 1A - Budget Stabilization Act was defeated
.
This legislation was defeated in 2009, and on July 1, 2011, the tax rate returned to 8.25%.
We removed the surcharge on July 1, 2011. Tax has since gone up to 8.75%. A price increase
is scheduled for 2014.
